Dr. Omar Farooq is an experienced Family Medicine Consultant with over 25 years of experience in managing chronic diseases and everyday health conditions across Iraq and Sweden. A proud alumnus of Mosul University’s College of Medicine, Dr. Omar honed his skills in various hospitals and clinics throughout Iraq before moving to Sweden in 2010. Since then, he has served diligently in hospitals, primary healthcare clinics, and geriatric healthcare facilities under the government. He holds certification from the Swedish Board of Family Medicine.
Dr. Omar offers a wide range of primary care services, including preventive care and the diagnosis and management of acute and chronic illnesses such as diabetes, hypertension, and heart diseases. His commitment to family medicine extends beyond his practice; he is an active member of the Swedish Association of Family Medicine and the Scandinavian Delegation of Family Physicians.
