Dr. Ioannis Vlachakis is a “European Boards Certified” Vascular Surgeon Specialist. He has completed 7 years of training in Greece, 6 months of Endovascular Fellowship in Belgium and was awarded a scholarship by the International Society of Vascular Surgery (ISVS) with 5 years OF postgraduate training in UK in reputed University Hospitals (UCLH and Kings College and Cambridge University Hospitals).
He began his career as a specialist at Derriford University Hospital in Plymouth and at Addenbrookes Hospital (part of The Cambridge University Hospitals). He was appointed as a Substantive Consultant Vascular and Endovascular Surgeon at the Royal Bournemouth Hospital in 2014.
Dr. Ionnais has a total of 12 years of experience and is certified in Vascular Surgery and Venous Ultrasound. His subspecialist interests cover the treatment of varicose veins, venous ulceration and venous eczema-related diseases. It also covers aesthetic varicose veins microsurgery with modern endovenous ablation techniques, including laser and radiofrequency plus foam sclerotherapy and microsclerotherapy.
