Dr. Shila Waghmare has over 17 years of experience as an expert Obstetrician & Gynaecologist, having worked at leading and prominent hospitals in India and the UAE, while specializing in laparoscopic surgery. Her core areas of expertise cover performing safe surgical caesarean procedures and delivery, treating and counselling women through every stage of pregnancy, and providing medical attention to women during menstrual periods, conception, pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum stages.
Dr. Shila has completed her thesis on cytological abnormality in pregnancy and maternal outcome and attended conferences on contraception, and antimicrobial resistance. She is a thought leader in her field, having also presented a paper at the 54th AICOG Congress on the subject of “Perinatal Genital Tract Hematomas: An Obstetric Emergency.”
She obtained her MBBS and MS (Obstetrics & Gynaecology) qualifications and certifications in contraception, ultrasonography and fetal heart rate monitoring, hospital infection control and STDS. She has also completed her Diploma in Endoscopy from Kiel University in Germany.
